This was such a helpful and informative read. You make a potentially awkward topic approachable, and your compassion for both dogs and their humans really comes through. Grateful for your perspective!

interesting article. I never had a leaky dog, but my female just had spay surgery 2 weeks ago at 4 yrs. I had some concerns prior to her surgery. I adopted her as a re-home from my breeder. She's such a nice girl. She's doing great post-op.

Glad your girl is recovering well. Happy she gets to retire from her breeding career and become a full time pet. What kind of dog?

My previous dog (boxer/staffie crossbreed) had a couple of leaky incidents when she was getting a bit older and it was thought could be to do with spaying and our wonderful ‘proper’ vet prescribed vitamin c tablets… we gave her just low dose 200mg each day and worked like a charm… she never had another incident in the many years before she passed away.

My Corso is leaky. She loses her bladder at night when sound asleep. Not every single night but often enough. She is permanently on proin. It works.
